In most cases, it’s not necessary for you to choose a particular modality from those available. Your body, physical/emotional symptoms, energetic evaluation, etc. will naturally dictate which will bring the best results. Usually a combination of several techniques will be used during your session, depending on your healing goals. Because we are constantly changing, no two sessions are exactly alike. Here are the modalities that I use most frequently, in no particular order:
Polarity Therapy is a system of healing with roots in Ayurvedic medicine and Osteopathy. It is comprised of bodywork, communication, movement and energetic foods. The practitioner uses point specific therapy, rocking and light touch to balance the client’s energy field. The balance promotes physical and emotional healing. The practitioner may recommend polarity movement and energetic foods to further benefit the client’s healing.
Aromatherapy uses natural essential oils extracted from flowers, bark, stems, leaves, and roots to enhance psychological and physical well-being. Aroma stimulates brain function. Essential oils can be absorbed through the skin, where they travel through the bloodstream and can promote whole-body healing. The oils have been scientifically shown to have antifungal, antibacterial and antiviral properties and to exhibit a higher vibrational frequency than the human body, making them ideal for use in energy medicine.
Chakra Balancing can be done with sound toning, crystal healing, aromatherapy, energy work, or via a combination of modalities. “Balance your chakras, balance your life!”. All clients receive a chakra card for self-diagnosis and monitoring of the energy body, plus information on self-healing techniques.
Raindrop Technique is an aromatherapy session which uses essential oils along the spine followed by a warm towel application (certain clients will receive cold towel, depending on physician diagnosis). This technique is used often for back or sciatic pain. Due to the nature of the oils used, it can boost the immune system and has been known to reduce intensity and frequency of colds and flu. Clients report profound relaxation and stress reduction.
Reiki is a gentle energetic technique used often for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. In addition to using Reiki with clients, I am a Reiki Master Teacher so if you would like to learn how to practice self-healing or the healing of others through Reiki, click here.
Access Consciousness Bars works with the 32 bars of energy that run through and around the head. When these points are gently touched, the energetic barriers dissipate and an electromagnetic charge is released. The results are deep relaxation and ongoing feelings of peace and calm.
Emotional Freedom Technique or EFT has been called an “emotional version of acupuncture”. No needles are used in this modality; instead meridian endpoints are tapped, while focusing on an issue (physical or mental) where change is desirable. This simple technique can be utilized easily by the client for self-care and ongoing healing.
The Art of Neutrality is a deeply intense energy-based modality which targets core issues. By resolving misqualified energies in the body’s energy field, the client may experience release from repetetive or long term patterns.
The Emotion Code is an energy-based modality that aims to reduce or eliminate the effect that “buried” or “trapped” emotions have on a client’s physical or emotional state. Emotions are energetic in nature and can be released from the body. This type of energetic work has been known to resolve long term patterns of behavior.
Assemblage Point Realignment: The assemblage point affects every aspect of physical and emotional health, so proper alignment of this energetic feature is important and often included as part of an energy medicine session.
